How this list of the best perfumes for women in the UAE was built

By search numbers, not by taste. We pulled the UAE monthly search volume for every women's and unisex designer fragrance we make a reading of, added the common spellings together, and kept the ten with the most searches. Then we checked every MOJ version on October 21, 2026 and kept only the ones available in every size, so nothing on this page sends you to a button that will not add to cart. That second rule changed the list more than the first: YSL Libre, searched 4,400 times a month, Miss Dior at 2,900 and Baccarat Rouge 540 at 6,600 all out-search most of these ten, and all three are missing because our reading had a size out that morning. Good Girl, at 2,400, is missing because we make a reading of its Blush Elixir flanker and not of the original, and we will not rank a flanker under the original's name. Our best perfumes in the UAE list, which ranks men's and women's together, has Libre and Baccarat Rouge 540 with their stock noted.

Prices are from Ounass, Faces, Bloomingdale's and the brands' own UAE sites, the only four we quote, and where two of them disagree we print both. Every original on this page is sold under its own brand name; the MOJ versions are our own compositions inspired by them, in 30, 50 and 100 ml, and we print our pyramid for each so you can see where ours follows the original and where it does not.

The ten, ranked by UAE search demand

1. G Flora W: about 5,400 searches a month

Gucci Flora is the most searched women's fragrance in the UAE, and the name covers two bottles. The original Flora by Gucci arrived as an eau de toilette in 2009 and as an eau de parfum in 2010, under Frida Giannini's creative direction, in the floral-print bottle taken from a 1966 scarf painting by Vittorio Accornero; Gucci credits no perfumer for it. The bottle on counters today is Flora Gorgeous Gardenia, the 2021 eau de parfum by Honorine Blanc in the pink lacquered flask with the Miley Cyrus campaign, which reworked her own 2012 Gorgeous Gardenia into a higher concentration. Ounass lists Gorgeous Gardenia at AED 720 for 100 ml and 520 for 50 ml; Faces lists the same prices and showed the 100 ml not available on October 21; neither lists the original Flora eau de parfum any more. Gucci's fragrances are made by Coty until mid 2027, when a fifty-year licence signed with L'Oreal in July 2026 takes over. Our Gucci guide covers the house.

Our G Flora W is a reading of the original Flora eau de parfum, not of Gorgeous Gardenia: peony, citruses and mandarin on top, osmanthus and rose in the heart, sandalwood and patchouli at the base. Three sizes, AED 39, 54 and 79, all available on October 21. Office and daytime, spring and summer; it is the lightest scent on this list.

2. Delina: about 4,200 searches a month

Delina is second, about 2,900 searches as "delina perfume" and 1,300 as the name alone. Quentin Bisch of Givaudan composed it for Parfums de Marly in 2017 as an eau de parfum, lychee and rhubarb over Turkish rose on cashmeran and vanilla, and within a few years it had become the rose that women in the Gulf ask for instead of the classics. The house, founded by Julien Sprecher in 2009, has been majority-owned by Advent International since 2023 and was put up for sale in 2026; Sprecher keeps 30 percent and the creative role. Delina comes in 30 and 75 ml, no 50 ml: Ounass and the brand's UAE site both list the 75 ml at AED 1,490, and Faces showed two older listings at 1,020 and 1,300, both not available. Our Delina reads the same lychee, rhubarb and rose line: litchi, rhubarb, bergamot and black currant with a hint of nutmeg, Turkish rose and peony softened by musk, petalia and vanilla, then cashmeran, incense, cedar, Haitian vetiver and caramel. Three sizes, AED 39, 54 and 79, all available on October 21; the 100 ml costs about a nineteenth of the 75 ml original. Weddings, engagements and evenings in the cooler months.

3. Scandal W: about 2,600 searches a month

Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal is third at about 2,400 searches for the name and 210 more with the house attached. It launched in France in June 2017 as an eau de parfum, composed by Daphne Bugey with Fabrice Pellegrin and Christophe Raynaud, a honey and gardenia chypre on patchouli in the clear bottle whose gold stopper is a pair of upturned legs. Puig has made Gaultier's fragrances in-house since January 2016 and has owned a majority of the fashion house since 2011; the line now runs to Scandal Le Parfum and, since March 2025, Scandal Intense. Ounass lists the 80 ml at AED 655 and the 50 ml at 470; Faces lists the 80 ml at 595, not available on October 21, and the 50 ml at the same 470. Our Jean Paul Gaultier guide has the rest.

Our Scandal W opens on blood orange and mandarin, builds a heart of honey, gardenia, orange blossom, jasmine and peach and dries down on beeswax, caramel, patchouli and licorice. It is the cheapest reading on this page, AED 26, 42 and 69, all available on October 21. Evenings in autumn and winter; the honey is too much for a Dubai August.

4. Angel Share: about 2,300 searches a month

Kilian Angels' Share is the first unisex entry, about 1,600 searches for the name and 720 with the house attached, and in practice it is bought and worn mostly by women here. Benoist Lapouza composed it in 2020 for Kilian Paris, the house Kilian Hennessy founded in 2007 and sold to Estee Lauder in 2016, as the opening of its Liquors collection: a cognac accord over cinnamon, tonka and oak on vanilla, praline and sandalwood. The name is the distiller's term for the spirit that evaporates from the barrel, and the brand says the formula contains a cognac essence and natural caramel colour, which is a brand claim. Ounass and Faces agree on the price, AED 1,080 for 50 ml and 1,605 for 100 ml, the most expensive original on this page; Faces showed the 50 ml not available on October 21. The line added Angels' Share Paradis, an extrait, in 2025, and the 2021 Angels' Share is on our Kilian guide alongside Intoxicated.

Our Angel Share opens on cognac, fills the heart with cinnamon, tonka bean, oak and hedione and closes on vanilla, praline, sandalwood and candied almond. It is one of our two premium-tier readings here, AED 54, 79 and 138, all available on October 21; the 100 ml is less than a tenth of the Ounass bottle. 5. La Vie Belle: about 2,200 searches a month

Lancome La Vie Est Belle draws about 1,300 searches for the name and 880 with the house attached. Three perfumers wrote it in 2012, Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo, around an iris accord on praline and patchouli, in a bottle reworked from Lancome's 1949 crystal smile flacon, with Julia Roberts in the Tarsem Singh film that launched it. Lancome belongs to L'Oreal Luxe, and the line has run through L'Absolu, Intense, L'Eclat, L'Elixir in 2024 and Vanille Nude in 2025. The brand's UAE site lists the 50 ml at AED 515, the 75 ml at 605 and the 100 ml at 710; Faces matches those prices and showed the 100 ml not available on October 21; Ounass lists the 100 ml lower at 670. Our La Vie Belle opens on black currant and pear, moves to iris, jasmine and orange blossom and melts into praline, vanilla, patchouli and tonka bean. 6. Black Orchid: about 2,100 searches a month

Tom Ford Black Orchid is the second unisex entry, about 1,600 searches with the house attached and 480 for the name alone. It was Tom Ford's first fragrance under his own name, launched in November 2006 as an eau de parfum in the fluted black bottle, composed at Givaudan; David Apel and Pierre Negrin are usually credited, and the brand itself names no perfumer. Truffle, gardenia and black currant over orchid and spices on chocolate, patchouli and incense: the darkest scent on this list and the one that made black bottles a category. Estee Lauder has made Tom Ford Beauty since 2006 and bought the whole brand in April 2023; the line added an all-gold Parfum in 2020 and Black Orchid Reserve in 2025. Our Black Orchid opens on truffle, gardenia, black currant and bergamot, moves to orchid, spices, ylang-ylang and lotus and closes on Mexican chocolate, patchouli, vanilla, incense and sandalwood. 7. Crystal Noir: about 1,900 searches a month

Versace Crystal Noir is the oldest fragrance on this list and still draws about 1,900 searches a month with the house attached. Antoine Lie composed it in 2004, pepper and cardamom over coconut and gardenia on sandalwood and amber, under the heavy faceted cap that gave it its name, and it has stayed in the line through the 2024 Parfum. Versace's fragrances have been made under licence by Euroitalia since it bought the house's perfume arm in December 2004, and the licence was extended by fifteen years in 2021; the fashion house itself has belonged to the Prada Group since December 2025. The standard size is 90 ml: Ounass lists it at AED 558, Faces at the same price and not available on October 21, with the 50 ml at 450. Our Versace guide covers Bright Crystal, Eros and Dylan Blue.

Our Crystal Noir opens on pepper, ginger and cardamom, blooms on coconut, gardenia, orange blossom and peony and finishes on sandalwood, musk and amber. Three sizes, AED 32, 42 and 69, all available on October 21. Autumn and winter evenings; the coconut reads creamy rather than beachy.

8. My Way: about 1,600 searches a month

Giorgio Armani My Way is an eau de parfum from August 2020 by Carlos Benaim and Bruno Jovanovic of IFF, orange blossom and tuberose over vanilla and cedar, launched with Adria Arjona and sold as the house's refillable pillar: the brand says its 50 ml bottle with the 150 ml refill uses 55 percent less glass and 75 percent less metal than four bottles would, which is a brand claim. Armani's fragrances are made by L'Oreal under a licence that began in 1988 and runs to 2050. Giorgio Armani died in September 2025, and his foundation controls the house while a minority stake is offered to L'Oreal, LVMH or EssilorLuxottica under the terms of his will; as of this week no sale has closed. The standard size is 90 ml: Ounass lists it at AED 750 and the 50 ml at 565, Faces at 705 and 475, the 90 ml not available on October 21. Our Armani guide covers the house.

Our My Way opens on orange blossom and bergamot, builds on tuberose and Indian jasmine and settles on Madagascar vanilla, white musk and Virginian cedar. 9. Si: about 1,500 searches a month

Giorgio Armani Si draws about 1,000 searches as "si perfume" and 480 as "armani si". Christine Nagel, now the in-house perfumer at Hermes, composed it in 2013 as an eau de parfum, blackcurrant over May rose and freesia on vanilla and patchouli, a modern chypre, and Cate Blanchett has been its face since launch; she marked ten years with it in 2023. The current bottle is refillable, and the line runs through Si Intense, Si Passione and the 2023 Si Eau de Parfum Intense. Ounass and Faces agree on AED 765 for 100 ml and 560 for 50 ml; Faces showed the 100 ml not available on October 21, and Ounass sells a 100 ml refill at 540. 10. Alien: about 1,300 searches a month

Mugler Alien closes the list at about 1,000 searches for "alien perfume" and 320 for "mugler alien". Dominique Ropion and Laurent Bruyere composed it in 2005 as Mugler's second pillar, thirteen years after Angel: jasmine sambac over cashmeran on amber, three materials and nothing else, in the refillable amethyst-purple glass bottle shaped like a talisman stone. Mugler's fragrances passed from Clarins to L'Oreal in March 2020, and the line has since added Alien Goddess in 2021, Hypersense in 2024 and Extraintense in 2025. The sizes are 30, 60 and 90 ml: Ounass lists the 90 ml refillable at AED 725, Faces at the same price and not available on October 21, with the 60 ml at 570.

What the ranking tells you about the UAE

Three things. First, the UAE searches for florals before anything else: seven of the ten open on flowers or fruit, and the two darkest scents, Black Orchid and Crystal Noir, sit in the middle rather than the top. Second, niche has caught up with designer: Delina and Angels' Share, from houses that did not exist before 2007, out-search La Vie Est Belle, Si and Alien, three of the biggest launches of their decades. Third, the list is older than it looks: six of the ten are more than ten years old, Crystal Noir is twenty-two, and only My Way and Angels' Share are from this decade. How to choose between the ten

If you want one bottle for the office, take G Flora W, My Way or Si; they are the three daytime florals and the three that survive June. If you want the one that gets noticed at a wedding, take Delina. If you want sweet, La Vie Belle by day and Scandal W or Angel Share by night. If you want dark, Black Orchid or Crystal Noir, and if you want the one nobody will mistake for anything else, Alien. If you are buying a gift and do not know her taste, Si is the answer in the UAE, because it is the one on this list that nobody dislikes.
