Gucci has been making perfume mischief for over a century of house history, from Tom Ford's red cassette bottle to a snake-covered oud in the haute perfumery line, with the fragrances made under Coty's license since 2016 and the house now designed under artistic director Demna. For UAE buyers the catch is availability: two of the most loved Guccis are scarce or discontinued here. This guide ranks seven with verified pricing and the MOJ version where we make one, starting from our Gucci inspired collection.
The usual rules apply. Every fact is verified against official pages and UAE retailer listings from September 2026, prices are as listed at time of writing, and where a fragrance has left the shelves we say so plainly.
The Best Gucci Perfumes and Their MOJ Versions
1. Flora by Gucci
Flora (2009) begins with a scarf: the Flora print painted by Vittorio Accornero in 1966 for Princess Grace of Monaco, turned into a fragrance four decades later. Peony and mandarin over osmanthus and rose, on sandalwood and patchouli. Today the line lives through its Gorgeous flankers, led by Flora Gorgeous Gardenia (2012, perfumer Honorine Blanc, relaunched as an EDP in 2021), at AED 720 per 100ml at UAE retail. Our full side by side is in the G Flora W vs Gucci Flora comparison.
- Top: peony, citruses, mandarin orange
- Heart: osmanthus, rose
- Base: sandalwood, patchouli
The MOJ version starts at AED 39. Spring weddings, office mornings and anyone who wants the garden without the price tag.
2. Bloom
Bloom (2017, perfumer Alberto Morillas) is Gucci's white floral statement: tuberose and jasmine thickened with Rangoon creeper, a vine Morillas brought into mainstream perfumery with this launch. It won industry awards and holds counter space everywhere, at AED 520 per 50ml EDP at UAE retail.
No MOJ version yet; our white floral shelf currently runs through the jasmine picks, and Bloom's Rangoon creeper is a hard note to rebuild well. If we crack it, it will be announced loudly.
3. Rush
Rush (1999, perfumer Michel Almairac) is the cult classic: a red plastic cassette designed under Tom Ford's creative direction, filled with an unapologetic gardenia, peach and patchouli chypre that smells like the year 2000 never ended. Gucci has let it fade from premium UAE retail, where it now surfaces only around AED 300 to 320 at limited sellers.
- Top: peach, Californian gardenia, African freesia petals
- Heart: coriander, Damask rose, jasmine
- Base: patchouli, natural vanilla, vetiver
The MOJ version starts at AED 39 and does not require hunting marketplaces. Nostalgia with projection.
4. Black Guilty
Guilty Black Pour Homme (2013) is the darker cut of the Guilty franchise: lavender and green coriander over orange blossom and neroli, on cedar and patchouli. Gucci has mostly retired it from premium UAE shelves, where the current Guilty Pour Homme holds the counter at AED 520 per 90ml EDT instead.
- Top: lavender, green coriander
- Heart: green notes, orange blossom, neroli
- Base: cedar, patchouli
The MOJ version starts at AED 39. Night-out sharpness for the wearer who found regular Guilty too polite.
5. Snake Voice
The Voice of the Snake (2019) comes from The Alchemist's Garden, Gucci's haute perfumery collection composed with Alberto Morillas: oud poured over saffron and patchouli in a bottle dressed like an apothecary jar. It is the most Gulf-fluent thing Gucci sells, at AED 1,450 per 100ml at UAE retail, and its saffron heart earned our version a mention in the best saffron perfumes guide.
- Top: agarwood (oud)
- Heart: saffron
- Base: patchouli
The MOJ version starts at AED 48, a 13x gap on the 100ml. The single best value story in this guide.
6. G Oud
Gucci Oud (2014) was the house's first real bow to this region, raspberry and saffron brightening Bulgarian rose before the oud arrives, and Gucci has since let it die: the original is effectively discontinued, last seen at UAE retail around AED 440 per 75ml, with only its sibling Intense Oud still sold at AED 770 per 90ml. Styles like it live on in our best oud perfumes guide.
- Top: raspberry, saffron, pear
- Heart: Bulgarian rose, orange blossom
- Base: agarwood (oud), patchouli, amber, musk
The MOJ version starts at AED 39 and is the only way to wear this style new without paying collector prices. Discontinued does not have to mean gone.
7. Memoire d'une Odeur
Memoire d'une Odeur (2019, perfumer Alberto Morillas) was Gucci's genderless gamble, chamomile and musk fronted by Harry Styles, and it remains the house's strangest mainstream release: soft, tea-like and worn by people who dislike perfume. AED 720 per 100ml at UAE retail.
No MOJ version yet. Chamomile-musk minimalism is a style we respect more than our customers request; the closest neighbors on our shelf are the soft picks in the powdery and musk guides.
Original or Inspired: How to Decide
Gucci's problem in the UAE is not quality, it is continuity: Rush and Gucci Oud show how quickly the house retires beloved bottles, and a discontinued original cannot be repurchased at any reasonable price. If you want the living icons, Bloom, Gorgeous Gardenia and the Alchemist's Garden line are all at UAE counters now. If you want the styles Gucci abandoned, or the AED 1,450 oud story at a working price, MOJ rebuilds five of these from AED 39 in the women's and men's collections.
Frequently Asked Questions
For women the current answer is Flora Gorgeous Gardenia, the line's bestseller, or Bloom for a denser white floral. For men, Guilty Pour Homme holds the counters. For collectors and oud lovers, The Voice of the Snake from The Alchemist's Garden line is widely considered the house's finest Gulf-facing release, though at AED 1,450 per 100ml it is priced like the haute perfumery it is.
Effectively yes. The 2014 original has disappeared from UAE premium retail and now surfaces only through leftover stock and collector listings, with its last regular UAE price around AED 440 per 75ml. Its 2016 sibling Intense Oud is still sold. Inspired versions are now the only way to wear the original raspberry-saffron-oud style in a new bottle at a normal price.
Gucci fragrances have been created and distributed under license by Coty since 2016, when the license moved over from Procter and Gamble. The Gucci house itself, founded in Florence in 1921, is currently designed under artistic director Demna, appointed in 2025.
Yes, five: G Flora W follows Flora by Gucci, Rush follows the 1999 classic, Black Guilty follows Guilty Black Pour Homme, Snake Voice follows The Voice of the Snake and G Oud follows the discontinued Gucci Oud, priced from AED 39. They are inspired interpretations rather than copies, with the full note pyramid printed on every product page.
