Best Mancera Perfumes in the UAE

Article Summary: The best Mancera perfumes in the UAE are Red Tobacco, the 2017 saffron, oud and tobacco eau de parfum that is the house's most searched fragrance in the country, and Roses Vanille, the 2011 lemon, rose and vanilla that Mancera itself lists first among its top sellers, with Cedrat Boise and Instant Crush close behind. Mancera is the younger sister of Montale, both founded in Paris by Pierre Montale after his years making perfume in the Gulf, and both run today with his daughter Amelie. Mancera has a boutique on the second floor of Dubai Mall; Faces and Bloomingdale's list the line at AED 549 to 669 for 120 ml but had none of the four to sell when we checked. MOJ interprets Red Tobacco and Roses Vanille from AED 39, 30 and 50 ml available on October 19, 2026.

  • Mancera was founded in 2008 by Pierre Montale, five years after Montale, and the two houses share a Paris boutique at 68 rue Pierre Charron; Amelie Montale has been artistic director since 2017.
  • Pierre Montale is credited as the perfumer of every fragrance in both houses, and said in a 2016 interview that sales split half Europe, half the Arab world.
  • Red Tobacco (2017) is an eau de parfum on saffron, cinnamon, incense, Nepalese oud and tobacco; Roses Vanille (2011) is Calabrian lemon, Turkish delight with rose, cedarwood, vanilla and white musk. Mancera sells both as unisex.
  • UAE list prices for 120 ml: Red Tobacco AED 619 at Faces and 599 at Bloomingdale's; Roses Vanille AED 559 and 549; neither was available at either retailer on October 19, 2026.
  • MOJ Red Tobacco is AED 48 and 59 for 30 and 50 ml; MOJ Vanille Rose is AED 39 and 54. The 100 ml of each was not available this week.

Who makes Mancera perfume

A family, and one that learned its trade in this part of the world. Pierre Montale spent years making perfume in the Arabian peninsula, with Gulf royal clients the house still alludes to, before returning to Paris in 2003 to launch Montale, the aluminium-bottle house built on oud and rose. Five years later, in 2008, he founded Mancera as a sister brand: glass bottles made by Luigi Bormioli in Italy rather than aluminium, a wider palette than oud, and the same claim of generous concentration that the house makes without ever publishing a percentage. Montale describes Mancera as a collaboration between a father and his daughter, and Amelie Montale has been its artistic director since 2017. Pierre Montale is credited as the perfumer of every fragrance in both houses; no outside nose has ever been named. The two brands share a boutique at 68 rue Pierre Charron, off the Champs-Elysees, and a second in Cannes. Ownership has not changed hands in any press we can find; as far as anyone has reported, it is still the family's.

Why that matters here: Mancera was built for this market. Pierre Montale said in a 2016 interview that sales split half Europe and half the Arab world, the house names the Orient as its inspiration, and the one Mancera boutique in the Gulf is on the second floor of Dubai Mall. Searches in the UAE run to about 1,000 a month for the brand and another 1,000 for Red Tobacco alone, which is why this guide leads with it. MOJ reads two Mancera fragrances in our designer inspired perfumes collection. The usual rules apply: every fact is stated where two or more independent sources agree, prices are from Faces and Bloomingdale's as listed this week, and no reading of ours is presented as the original.

Where to buy Mancera in the UAE

The Dubai Mall boutique is the only Mancera store in the country, and the brand's own website prices in euros and does not ship here. Faces and Bloomingdale's both list the line, and both had the four fragrances below marked not available when we checked on October 19, with Faces tagging Red Tobacco and Roses Vanille as its top sellers for the house; Ounass does not carry Mancera. So the honest answer to where to buy the original today is the boutique, or a wait-list at Faces. If you want to know whether the style suits you before they return, a MOJ reading at AED 39 is the cheaper experiment.

The two we make, with the MOJ versions

1. Red Tobacco

The one the UAE searches for. Red Tobacco launched in September 2017 as an eau de parfum and sits on Mancera's own list of its top sellers. The house's pyramid is saffron, cinnamon, incense, nutmeg, white peach, green apple and Nepalese oud on top, patchouli and jasmine in the heart, and tobacco, amber, woods, vetiver, vanilla and white musk at the base, which is a Gulf opening on a European tobacco finish, and it is sold as unisex though most of its wearers are men. It gets compared online to Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille; the honest difference is that Red Tobacco is spicier and drier, with the saffron and oud doing the work the vanilla does in the Tom Ford. An extrait, Intense Red Tobacco, followed in 2023. Faces lists the 120 ml at AED 619 and Bloomingdale's at AED 599, neither available when we looked.

Our Red Tobacco follows the same three tiers: cinnamon, oud, incense, saffron, nutmeg, green apple and white pear up top, patchouli and jasmine in the heart, then tobacco, vanilla, amber, sandalwood, guaiac wood, white musk and vetiver underneath. The 30 ml is AED 48 and the 50 ml AED 59, both available this week; the 100 ml at AED 109 is not. The 50 ml is less than a tenth of the Faces bottle. Evenings and cooler months, office if you spray twice not five times; the rest of the tobacco school is in our guide to the best tobacco perfumes, and it sits in our perfumes for men collection.

  • Top: cinnamon, agarwood, incense, saffron, nutmeg, green apple, white pear
  • Heart: patchouli, jasmine
  • Base: tobacco, vanilla, amber, sandalwood, guaiac wood, white musk, vetiver

2. Roses Vanille, read by Vanille Rose

The one Mancera itself puts first. Roses Vanille dates from 2011, an eau de parfum the house lists first on its own top-sellers page and sells as unisex, though in the Gulf it is bought almost entirely by women. The pyramid is short: fresh lemon from Calabria on top, Turkish delight with rose in the heart, cedarwood, an intense vanilla and white musk at the base. It is a loukoum rather than a garden rose, sweet and pink and sticky, and that is why it works here, where sugared rose is a tradition rather than a novelty. Faces lists the 120 ml at AED 559 and Bloomingdale's at AED 549, neither available when we looked; the house also makes a 60 ml.

Our Vanille Rose opens on Italian lemon, blooms into Turkish rose and settles on vanilla, white musk and cedar, the same four ideas in the same order. The 30 ml is AED 39 and the 50 ml AED 54, both available this week; the 100 ml at AED 79 is not. Date nights and evenings in the cooler months, for a woman who likes rose candied rather than dewy; the rest of the rose family is in our guide to the best rose perfumes, and it sits in our perfumes for women collection.

  • Top: Italian lemon
  • Heart: Turkish rose
  • Base: vanilla, white musk, cedar

The rest of the house, sorted by year

Mancera's catalogue runs to dozens of fragrances and grows by several a year, so here is the spine. The 2011 launch year that brought Roses Vanille also brought Wild Fruits and Cedrat Boise, the grapefruit and cedar that was the house's first big seller and is still on its top-sellers list. Black Line followed in 2013, Amber and Roses in 2014, Aoud Lemon Mint, Coco Vanille and Sicily in 2016, Black Gold alongside Red Tobacco in 2017, Hindu Kush in 2018, Instant Crush in 2019, the cherry and vanilla that is now the house's most expensive pillar in the UAE at AED 669, Juicy Flowers in 2020 and Tonka Cola in 2022. Extraits of the pillars have arrived since 2021, Intense Cedrat Boise, Intense Red Tobacco and, in 2025, Intense Instant Crush, and the 2026 arrivals on the brand's own site are Hazel Latte, Mochi Musk, Wood Season and Xplicit Poppy. Mancera's current top-sellers page lists eight: Roses Vanille, Cedrat Boise, Coco Vanille, Red Tobacco, Instant Crush, French Riviera, Mochi Musk and Melody of the Sun. MOJ reads two of those eight, and we would rather say so than card a product that does not exist.

Which to buy first

If you want one Mancera, buy Red Tobacco if you are a man who wears oud and wants it dressed in spice and tobacco, and Roses Vanille if you are a woman who wants rose as a sweet rather than a flower; between them they are the house's two best-known ideas, and the readings at AED 39 and 48 are the cheapest way to find out whether either is your thing while the originals are off the shelf. How a reading is built, and what it does and does not promise, is set out in our explainer on what inspired perfumes are.
