Best Chanel Perfumes in the UAE

Article Summary: Chanel has used only four in-house perfumers in more than a century, and it grows its own jasmine and May rose in Grasse for No 5. The seven Chanel perfumes below run from that 1921 icon to Coromandel's dark patchouli, with verified Chanel UAE pricing from AED 595 to 1,140 and MOJ inspired versions from AED 37 where we make one.

  • Chanel No 5 (1921, Ernest Beaux) sells for AED 815 per 100ml EDP at Chanel UAE.
  • Only four perfumers have led Chanel since 1921: Beaux, Henri Robert, Jacques Polge and Olivier Polge.
  • Chanel has grown jasmine and May rose with the Mul family in Grasse since 1987, exclusively for its own perfumes.
  • Coco Mademoiselle (2001) is the house bestseller of this century, at AED 795 per 100ml.
  • MOJ makes four Chanel inspired versions, with Mademoiselle and Coromandel from AED 37.

No perfume house guards its craft like Chanel. Four in-house perfumers in more than a hundred years, its own jasmine and May rose fields in Grasse farmed with the Mul family since 1987, and a policy of selling only through its boutiques, its own site and authorized retailers. That discipline is why Chanel prices hold and why the bottles below are the most copied shapes in perfumery. This guide covers the seven that matter most in the UAE, with Chanel's own AED pricing and the MOJ interpretation where we make one, starting in our Chanel inspired collection.

The usual rules apply. Every fact is verified against Chanel's UAE site and independent sources from September 2026, prices are as listed at time of writing, and where we do not yet make a version we say so plainly.

The Best Chanel Perfumes, Ranked for the UAE

1. Chanel No 5

No 5 (1921, perfumer Ernest Beaux) is the perfume that made aldehydes famous: an abstract floral built on an unprecedented overdose of them, laid over jasmine and May rose grown today in Chanel's own Grasse fields. Gabrielle Chanel asked Beaux for a perfume that smelled like a composition rather than a single flower, and a century later it is still the reference for that idea. AED 815 per 100ml EDP at Chanel UAE.

We do not make a No 5 version, and we are honest about why: its character comes from that aldehyde signature and Chanel's own flower harvest, which is a story we cover in our best jasmine perfumes guide. If you want No 5, buy No 5.

2. Coco Mademoiselle

Coco Mademoiselle (2001, perfumer Jacques Polge) is the bestseller of modern Chanel: orange and bergamot over a heart of Turkish rose and jasmine, grounded in the patchouli that defined two decades of women's perfumery. Polished, confident and instantly recognizable in a Dubai office lift. AED 795 per 100ml at Chanel UAE.

  • Top: orange, mandarin orange, bergamot, orange blossom
  • Heart: Turkish rose, jasmine, mimosa, ylang-ylang
  • Base: patchouli, white musk, vanilla, vetiver, tonka bean, opoponax

The MOJ version starts at AED 39. Our closest thing to a house handshake; if someone asks where to start with Chanel styles, it is here.

3. Bleu de Chanel

Bleu de Chanel (2010 as an eau de toilette, 2014 in eau de parfum, both by Jacques Polge, with the 2018 Parfum signed by his son Olivier) is the most worn men's fragrance of its generation: citrus and marine freshness over aromatic herbs, drying to cedar, musk and amber. It behaves as well in a Gulf summer as anything at its price, which is AED 685 per 100ml EDP at Chanel UAE.

  • Top: citrus, bergamot, marine accords
  • Heart: lavender, geranium, aromatic herbs
  • Base: cedarwood, musk, amber

Our version is De Blue, from AED 39, a fixture of our best summer perfumes for men guide.

4. Chance

Chance (2002, perfumer Jacques Polge, first as an eau de toilette) was Chanel's round bottle gamble: a spiraling floral of pink pepper, jasmine and patchouli aimed at a younger wrist than No 5. Its softer 2010 flanker Eau Tendre became a Gulf favorite in its own right for exactly the reason the region loves powder and musk, it wears close and clean. Both sell at AED 795 per 100ml EDP at Chanel UAE.

No MOJ version yet. Chance's effect depends on its balance rather than one signature note, and we would rather skip a style than ship a rough sketch of it.

5. Gabrielle

Gabrielle (2017, perfumer Olivier Polge) was Chanel's first new pillar since Chance, and the younger Polge's first pillar as house perfumer: four white flowers, jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom and Grasse tuberose, turned into one solar bouquet. AED 795 per 100ml at Chanel UAE, with the deeper Gabrielle Essence flanker arriving in 2019.

No MOJ version yet either; our white floral territory is currently held by the jasmine guide picks above.

6. Allure Homme Sport

Allure Homme Sport (2004, perfumer Jacques Polge) is the house's daytime athlete: mandarin and sea notes over a peppery cedar heart, warmed with tonka, vanilla and white musk. It is the Chanel men's bottle for people who find Bleu too ubiquitous, at AED 595 per 100ml EDT at Chanel UAE.

  • Top: orange, sea notes, aldehydes, blood mandarin
  • Heart: pepper, neroli, cedar
  • Base: vanilla, tonka bean, white musk, amber, vetiver, elemi resin

Our version is Allure Sport, from AED 39, built on the same citrus-pepper-tonka frame.

7. Coromandel

Coromandel (2007 as an eau de toilette, 2016 in eau de parfum, perfumers Jacques Polge and Christopher Sheldrake) comes from Les Exclusifs, the boutique line, and from the lacquered Chinese screens in Gabrielle Chanel's apartment. Patchouli and orris under benzoin and incense, with a white chocolate nuance reviewers adore. AED 1,140 per 75ml at Chanel UAE, the most expensive bottle in this guide, and the star of the dark half of our best powdery perfumes guide.

  • Top: bitter orange, citruses, neroli
  • Heart: patchouli, orris root, rose, jasmine
  • Base: white chocolate, benzoin, amber, olibanum, incense, woody notes, musk

The MOJ version starts at AED 37, the friendliest doorway in this guide. Evenings, winter and anyone who wants Chanel's strangest masterwork on a working budget.

Original or Inspired: How to Decide

Chanel earns its prices in ways most designer houses do not: it owns its flower fields, employs its perfumer in-house and controls every store its bottles sit in. If that provenance matters to you, buy from Chanel UAE and nowhere else, since the house itself warns that unauthorized online sellers are the main source of fakes. If what you want is the style, MOJ rebuilds four Chanel directions from AED 37 with the pyramid printed on every product page. Browse the rest of the range through the women's and men's collections.
