Love LV Pacific Chill? MOJ Pacific Chill Explained: Notes, Longevity and How It Compares
Pacific Chill by Louis Vuitton is the house's sun-soaked detox scent, famous for smelling like a green juice bar on a California morning, and it retails at roughly AED 1,300 to 1,500 for 100 ml in the UAE. Pacific Chill by MOJ is our composition built in the same fruity aromatic direction, priced from AED 39, which works out to under AED 1 per ml against about AED 13 to 15 for the original. Here is the full pyramid, the way it behaves in Gulf summer and a straight side by side.
As with everything in our designer inspired perfumes range, this is an original MOJ composition inspired by a famous scent direction, not a copy of any product. Unusually for this series, the two published pyramids here match note for note, so the comparison section focuses on what still separates them.
What MOJ Pacific Chill smells like
MOJ Pacific Chill is a fruity aromatic built to smell like vitality: a juicy citrus cocktail cut with mint and basil, sweetened by apricot and blackcurrant, resting on a soft fig and dates base. It is the most casual, most summery profile in our Louis Vuitton inspired line, and the one to reach for when the temperature climbs.
| Stage | Notes |
|---|---|
| Top | Citron, orange, lemon, mint, black currant, coriander |
| Heart | Apricot, basil, carrot seeds, May rose |
| Base | Fig, dates, ambrette |
The opening is a cold-pressed rush of citron, orange and lemon with mint riding on top, while blackcurrant adds a tart, jammy edge and coriander keeps it from reading like a cleaning product. The heart is greener and stranger in the best way: basil and carrot seeds give the apricot and May rose an earthy, vegetal twist that is the signature of this scent direction. The drydown turns gently sweet and skin-like, with fig and dates smoothed by musky ambrette.
Longevity and how it wears in UAE heat
This is the rare profile that is actually built for a Gulf summer. Citrus and mint tops burn off quickly, here and in the original alike, but the fig, dates and ambrette base hangs on quietly for hours, and because the whole composition stays light it never turns syrupy in the heat the way warm gourmands do.
Three ways to get the most out of it here:
- Wear it as the daytime and outdoor pick. Office, errands, beach, gym bag: this is the slot it fills, with warmer scents saved for evenings.
- Reapply without guilt. At under AED 1 per ml, a midday refresh spray is a rounding error, which is exactly the freedom the original's price never allows.
- Mist clothing lightly as well as skin. Cotton and linen hold the fruity base through an afternoon outdoors far better than sweat-covered skin can.
How it compares to LV Pacific Chill
The published note lists are identical, all thirteen notes, which makes this the closest pairing in our inspired range on paper. What still separates an inspired composition from the original: concentration, raw material grades, maceration time and the simple fact that skin chemistry finishes every fragrance differently. The facts side by side:
| MOJ Pacific Chill | Pacific Chill by Louis Vuitton | |
|---|---|---|
| Fragrance family | Aromatic fruity, unisex | Aromatic fruity, unisex |
| Published notes | Citron, orange, lemon, mint, black currant, coriander; apricot, basil, carrot seeds, May rose; fig, dates, ambrette | Identical thirteen note pyramid |
| Launched | MOJ original composition | 2023, composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud |
| Concentration | Eau de parfum per the product page | Eau de parfum, filed in LV's cologne collection |
| 100 ml price in the UAE | AED 79 | Roughly AED 1,300 to 1,500 at UAE retailers |
| Price per ml | Under AED 1 | About AED 13 to 15 |
| Smallest size | 30 ml at AED 39 | 100 ml standard retail bottle |
Where the original earns part of its price: LV positions Pacific Chill as a detox creation by its in-house master perfumer, with the raw material quality reviewers consistently praise, and the bottle is refillable at LV boutiques. Where the case for MOJ is strongest in this entire series: fresh citrus scents fade fast in heat by nature, so paying boutique prices per ml for a fragrance you will respray anyway is the worst value equation in perfumery. At AED 39 for 30 ml you can test the profile for the cost of a lunch, and at AED 79 the 100 ml bottle becomes an everyday summer workhorse you never have to ration.
Who should wear it
Both the original and the MOJ version are unisex, and this one earns the label more than most: bright citrus, green herbs and soft fruit sit naturally on anyone. It suits daytime wear, outdoor plans, casual offices and anyone who finds most perfume too heavy for UAE summers. It is the lightest of the fresh profiles in our Louis Vuitton inspired perfumes collection, and two close neighbors are below if you want to compare before choosing.
