Best Xerjoff Perfumes in the UAE
Article Summary: Xerjoff is a Turin house built as twenty separate worlds rather than one range, which is why buying your first bottle means choosing a collection before you choose a scent. The seven below cover the lines that matter in the Gulf, from the fruity Erba Pura to the honeyed Naxos and the Ibn Battuta-inspired Oud Stars, with verified UAE pricing and MOJ versions from AED 37.
- The name comes from founder Sergio Momo's childhood nickname: his Croatian grandmother called him Joff, colleagues turned it into Sir Joff, and Sir Joff became Xerjoff.
- Every perfume in the Oud Stars collection is named for a city the traveller Ibn Battuta wrote about in the fourteenth century.
- The 1861 collection is named for the year Italy unified and was created for the 150th anniversary; Naxos is its bestseller.
- Xerjoff's only Gulf boutique is at The Dubai Mall, and it sells four fragrances you cannot buy anywhere else.
- Three MOJ versions cover the house's most searched styles, priced from AED 37 to 109.

Most perfume houses sell a range. Xerjoff sells about twenty of them, and the collection you are standing in front of tells you more than the bottle does. Sergio Momo founded the house in Turin in the mid-2000s, with his own site dating the formal start to 2007, and named it after himself twice removed: his Croatian grandmother called him Joff, English-speaking colleagues turned that into Sir Joff, and Sir Joff became Xerjoff. The caps take their shape from the Deshret, the red crown of ancient Egypt. Even the packaging has a thesis.
The lines are worth learning before you spend. 1861 is named for the year Italy unified and was built for the 150th anniversary. Casamorati 1888 revives a real Italian perfume house of the late nineteenth century. Shooting Stars takes its names from the 1947 Sikhote-Alin meteorite fall in Siberia. Oud Stars names every perfume after a city the fourteenth-century traveller Ibn Battuta visited and wrote about, which makes it the most quietly Arab collection any Italian house has produced. Vibe, which most retailers still label the V Collection, holds the house's bestsellers and ships each bottle with a silk foulard woven in Como. And Coffee Break does exactly what its name says.
The usual rules apply. Every fact is verified against official pages and UAE retailer listings from September 2026, prices are as listed at time of writing, and where a bottle has gone scarce we say so. One practical note: Xerjoff is carried in the UAE by Bloomingdale's and, in a thinner range, by Ounass, alongside the house's own Dubai Mall boutique.
The Best Xerjoff Perfumes and Their MOJ Versions
1. Erba Pura
Erba Pura is the one that made Xerjoff a household name among people who do not otherwise buy niche: Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot and lemon over an accord the house simply calls Mediterranean fruit, landing on amber, Madagascar vanilla and white musk. Perfumer Christian Carbonnel built it for the Vibe collection and it remains the house's flagged bestseller, juicy and bright and almost impossible to dislike. AED 1,155 per 100ml at Bloomingdale's, AED 790 for 50ml.
- Top: Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian lemon
- Heart: Mediterranean fruits
- Base: white musk, amber, vanilla
The MOJ version starts at AED 59, currently in the 50ml and 100ml sizes. The easiest Xerjoff to wear and the right first bottle if you have never tried the house.
2. Nexos
1861 Naxos (2015) is the other half of the house's reputation and the bestseller of the 1861 line: bergamot, lemon and lavender opening onto honey, cinnamon and jasmine sambac, over tobacco, tonka and vanilla. It is named for the first Greek colony in Sicily and built as the island's sweet heart, and Xerjoff names no perfumer for it. AED 1,155 per 100ml at both Ounass and Bloomingdale's, the same price at two retailers, which makes it the most reliable number in this guide.
- Top: bergamot, lemon, lavender
- Heart: honey, cinnamon, cashmeran, jasmine sambac
- Base: tobacco, tonka bean, vanilla
The MOJ version starts at AED 39, currently in the 30ml and 50ml sizes. Honey and tobacco with citrus daylight in it; it also anchors the honey section of our gourmand guide.
3. Accento and Accento Overdose
Accento, also Carbonnel and also Vibe, is pineapple and hyacinth over iris, jasmine and pink pepper on amber, vanilla and vetiver, at AED 1,325 per 100ml at Bloomingdale's. What makes it worth a paragraph of its own is the flanker. Xerjoff's overdose technique amplifies chosen materials rather than simply strengthening the whole formula, and Accento Overdose comes out somewhere quite different: green and eucalyptus-cool where the original is fruity, with Bulgarian rose, muguet and Egyptian jasmine underneath. The house's stated position on it is no to minimalism, yes to maximalism. It is not carried by the UAE's approved retailers, so a version is the practical route here.
- Top: fruity notes, green accord, aldehydes
- Heart: Egyptian jasmine, lily of the valley, Bulgarian rose
- Base: eucalyptus, pine
The MOJ version starts at AED 37, currently in the 30ml size, and it is the cheapest way into this house on the page.
4. Opera
Opera (2019, also credited to Christian Carbonnel) is the Vibe collection at its most theatrical: a fruit basket and Turkish rose up top, leather, amber, nutmeg and ylang-ylang through the heart, then Virginia cedar, Haitian vetiver, musk, patchouli and vanilla. Fruit over leather sounds like a collision and behaves like a duet. AED 1,540 per 100ml at Bloomingdale's.
We make no version of Opera. If the Erba Pura style suits you and you want the same house with more shadow in it, this is where the counter will send you next.
5. Alexandria II
Here is where the Oud Stars concept pays off. Every fragrance in that collection is named for a city the Moroccan traveller Ibn Battuta reached and recorded in the fourteenth century, from Alexandria and Luxor to Gao, Fars, Ceylon and Zafar, which means an Italian house spent a whole line retracing the greatest travel account in Arab letters. Alexandria II is its bestseller and also a Carbonnel: apple, cinnamon, lavender and rosewood over cedar, muguet and Bulgarian rose, on amber, Laotian oud, musk, sandalwood and vanilla, sold in both Parfum and eau de parfum. Listed at AED 2,290 per 100ml at Bloomingdale's, where it has gone scarce at time of writing.
No MOJ version of this one. For the oud styles we do make, our oud perfumes collection and its guide cover the ground.
6. Golden Dallah
The most Gulf-facing bottle the house has made sits in a collection called Coffee Break, and the name is the whole idea. A dallah is the long-spouted pot that carries spiced Arabic coffee to guests, and Xerjoff calls it a symbol of hospitality and generosity, which is the correct reading and a rare one from a European house. The perfume follows through: fresh spices over amber, Cambodian oud, coffee absolute, incense and rose absolute, on cocoa and tonka. No perfumer is credited. AED 1,130 per 50ml at Bloomingdale's, currently scarce there.
We make no version of it either, though the coffee and cardamom idea runs through several picks in our gourmand guide.
7. Torino22
Torino22 (2022) is the cheapest way into Xerjoff at a UAE counter, at AED 850 at Bloomingdale's. It comes from the house's tennis partnership with the Nitto ATP Finals, held in Turin, and is sold within the Join the Club line, for which Xerjoff deliberately publishes no note pyramid at all. Reviewers describe bergamot and saffron over mate and guaiac wood on musk and dry woods, but the house is not telling, and that silence is apparently the point.
The Dubai Mall Boutique and Its Four Exclusives
Worth knowing if you are shopping in person: Xerjoff's boutique on the first floor of The Dubai Mall is the only one the house operates in the Gulf, and it carries four fragrances named One, Two, Three and Four that are sold there and nowhere else. Whatever you make of exclusivity as a sales tactic, a scent that exists only in one shop in one city is a different proposition entirely from a bottle you can order anywhere, and it is the reason to go in rather than click.
The house also keeps turning up in unexpected rooms. It has made fragrances with Lamborghini, and in 2025 released two with Duran Duran, Black Moonlight and NeoRio, both of which reached UAE counters at AED 1,380. For a house that started with one man naming a company after his grandmother's pet name for him, the range of company it keeps is its own kind of achievement.
Original or Inspired: How to Decide
Xerjoff prices its UAE range from about AED 850 to well past AED 2,000, and what that buys is real: unusual materials, small lines, a silk foulard in the box and a house that would rather run twenty collections than one safe one. If the object and the story are part of the pleasure, the Dubai Mall boutique is a good afternoon. If what you want is the style, the fruit of Erba Pura or the honeyed tobacco of Naxos, MOJ carries versions of three of the house's most searched scents from AED 37 to 109, and our inspired perfumes explainer covers exactly what a version does and does not promise. The house sits among the names in our niche guide for the same reasons.
Frequently Asked Questions
Erba Pura is the house bestseller and the easiest to wear, a bright Mediterranean fruit and citrus built by perfumer Christian Carbonnel. Naxos from the 1861 collection is the connoisseur pick, honey and tobacco with a citrus opening, and Accento is the pineapple and iris alternative. In the UAE these run from about AED 1,155 to 1,325 per 100ml, while MOJ versions of all three start at AED 37.
Small production lines, unusual raw materials, and a house structure of roughly twenty separate collections rather than one efficient range. Bottles in the Vibe collection ship with a silk foulard woven in Como, and the 17/17 Stone Label line uses hand-cut semi-precious stones. UAE pricing runs from about AED 850 for Torino22 to over AED 2,000 for the Oud Stars releases.
Bloomingdale's carries the deepest range, Ounass carries a narrower selection, and Xerjoff runs its own boutique on the first floor of The Dubai Mall, the only one the house operates in the Gulf. That boutique also sells four fragrances named One, Two, Three and Four that are exclusive to it and cannot be bought anywhere else.
Each line is a separate concept. 1861 marks the year Italy unified and holds Naxos; Casamorati 1888 revives a historic Italian perfume house; Oud Stars names every scent after a city the traveller Ibn Battuta visited; Shooting Stars draws on a 1947 meteorite fall; Vibe, still labelled the V Collection by most retailers, holds the bestsellers including Erba Pura and Accento. Choosing the collection first narrows the range fast.
